On November 27, staff and participants at CareLink's residential programs celebrated the annual Thanksgiving holiday.
"Thanksgiving is a time when we pause to reflect on what we’re truly thankful for," said Providence Road Program Supervisor Raymone Snow. "The individuals we support don’t always have someone to show up for them during the holidays, and that’s why it’s so important that we show up."
Raymone noted that Providence Road Residential Counselor Jeanette Williams went above and beyond on Thanksgiving by ensuring that a resident was able to spend the holiday with his family—even while working short-staffed.
"It feels so good to have someone [on staff] who genuinely cares for the people we serve," Raymone continued. "I am thankful for the Providence Road team. They didn’t just show up, they showed out! They prepared a quality meal to ensure every person we support felt loved and went to bed with a full belly. I’m thankful for a team that continues to do the work that isn’t always seen, measured, or rewarded, but matters more than words can express."
Happy Thanksgiving from Providence Road and the entire CareLink team, who always do their very best to make holidays special for those in our care.
